The bass trombonist and tuba player has been musical director of the ZJO since September 2021. We talk to him about his musical roots.

“I started as a trombonist, more precisely with bass trombone and then later with tuba, I played them a lot. There are only 24 hours in a day, and especially with brass instruments like trombone, tuba, etc., you just have to play for several hours every day to stay reasonably fit. At one point, I made the decision to temporarily stop playing and devote my energy and time to other things.”
