On the conversion and architecture of Heinrichstrasse 69

The conversion and interior work on the former craft business was planned and implemented by Ken Architekten BSA AG, who had already completed the renovation of the sogar theater. “How do you get enough space into the relatively small building and how can you create additional space?” were the first fundamental questions that had to be answered, says Martin Schwager. Thanks to appropriate planning and renovation, the Jazzhaus now has a spacious two-storey rehearsal room, two smaller music rooms, recording facilities and a further room that serves as an office and meeting place, as well as a podium that also serves as storage space.
