Joint project initiative with the Dr. Stephan à Porta Foundation

The idea for the project was developed jointly with the Dr. Stephan à Porta Foundation, which acquired the building in 2022. Seven years earlier, the foundation had already made an important contribution to culture in District 5 by taking over and converting the sogar theater opposite. “Together with the management of the ZJO, we recognized that the Jazzhaus would be a suitable addition to the literary Kleintheater and are looking forward to the future synergies between the two cultural institutions,” says Armin Isler, Managing Director of the Dr. Stephan à Porta Foundation. “As a music workshop, the Jazzhaus fits in perfectly with the workshop character of the inner courtyard and keeps it alive.”
