In search of the right piano

Gregor Müller, our pianist, and Adrian Frey, his predecessor and occasional substitute, had the big task of choosing the grand piano for the “Jazzhaus”. What makes a good grand piano? How do you make a grand piano sound good? As guests at Gebrüder Bachmann Tasteninstrumente AG in Wetzikon, they tested various grand pianos and gave an insight into this in a discussion with “Zurich Jazz Talks”.

We are delighted that after several rounds of testing and an interview for Zurich Jazz Talks, we have decided on a grand piano and can hardly wait until it is ready to play in the “Jazzhaus”.
